HUE 222 – The story of a very rare Land Rover
1948 Series 1 registration HUE 222 (chassis number 861194) is owned by the Mr Denys Shortt in Banbury, UK.
There were only fifteen HUE number plates issued to early Land Rover Series 1’s in 1948 and 1949.
The most famous is the first Land Rover HUE 166 owned by Jaguar Land Rover themselves and is located in the British Motor Museum at Gaydon.
HUE 222 is the only other remaining HUE Land Rover in the world and the only one in private hands.
